State sales tax law requires The Receptionist to collect and remit sales tax. To comply with this requirement, we need the address information for all locations within your account to calculate the amount of sales tax that should be collected.

To input your information, please utilize the following steps. This process should take less than a minute for each location.

  1. If you’re not already signed in, input your login credentials. If you are already signed in, you will be taken directly to step 3.

  2. Review each location and the status of the billing address.

  3. For any billing address status of “Billing Address Needed,” click on the pencil icon under actions to the far right of the location name.

  4. Input the billing address for that location

  5. If the shipping address is the same as the billing address, leave the box “Same as Billing Address” checked. If it’s not, uncheck the box, and input the shipping address that should be used to calculate sales tax.

  6. Click “Save.

  7. Repeat steps 6-9 for each location with a status of “Billing Address Needed.”

FAQ:

  • What should I do if I don’t see one of my account locations on the tax page?

    • If you don’t see one of your locations on the tax page, our Accounts Receivable department will generate a new invoice for you at your next renewal and work with you to make sure your address is correct.

  • What do I do if the billing address carries over for all of my locations, but I am invoiced on those locations separately?

    • In that case, you'll update the shipping information for each location, and the billing address will remain the same.
