Follow these steps to connect a Brother QL-710W Printer to your Wi-Fi network using a Windows computer

1. Plug your printer into an electrical outlet, but DO NOT turn the printer on yet.

2. Load in the large roll of label paper that came with your printer. These are DK-2205 labels; you will need this model number when you need to reorder labels.

3. Plug your printer into your computer using the provided grey USB cable. Now you can turn on your printer using the power button.

4. Visit the Brother download page and download and download the "Printer Driver" and the "Printer Setting Tool:"

5. Install the printer driver that you downloaded in step 4.

6. Run the Printer Setting Tool that you downloaded in step 4, and press the "Communication Settings" button:

7. Open the "Wireless LAN" tab, click on "Wireless Settings," and press "Search."

8. Select the Wi-Fi network you want your printer connected to. Please note that you will want to be on a WPA or WPA2 connection, not WPA3

9. Enter the Wi-Fi password in the necessary box and hit "Apply."

10. The Wi-Fi light on the printer will turn solid green once it's connected and has obtained an IP address.

11. You will now need to configure The Receptionist for iPad to know how to communicate with your printer.

  1. From The Receptionist Home Screen, press and hold your finger to the top center of the touchscreen until the screen flips to our settings menu, about 5 seconds.

  2. Once the menu appears, select Printer Settings and enter the user password when prompted.

  3. The iPad will search for available printers. You can select the relevant printer or the +Connect button to enter the printer's IP address. Press TEST PRINT to print a โœ”๏ธ and ensure the devices are connected.

  4. Once you have a successful test print, tap < in the top left corner and exit the menu by tapping the X in the upper left - your changes will save automatically.
