Once you've set up your printer, it's time to start printing badges! Badges can be designed to look all sorts of ways, and you have total control over what information is displayed on them.
Getting Started
Start with this article to turn badge printing on and set your printer up.
Then head to the Buttons page on the web portal. Select 'Existing Buttons,' then click 'edit' to the right of the button to which you want to add badge printing. Scroll down to the Badge Printing section of your button setup. On the left, click the 'Print Badges' toggle to 'On.'
Customizing Your Badges
Our proprietary badge editor allows you to move visitor-completed data fields around your badge, add a logo different from the welcome screen display, resize and move around the badge, and much more. Badges are totally customizable! Click on the pencil icon in the Label Attributes section to see additional customization options for that attribute.
Many visit fields, including Text, Yes/No, and Multiple Choice, can be added to your badge. For example, if your team has a multiple-choice field asking the visitor if they are here for X, Y, or Z, the answer can be printed on their badge. At this time, you can only have one custom field per badge.
Remember to save your button settings when you're done setting up your badge!
Printed Badge Appearance
Brother badge printers print images via heat, not ink, which means that the badge's display will be limited. Depending on the badge type, images and data can be printed in black and white or red and white. Images may appear a bit grainy, which tends to be more noticeable when using red.
