If you want to hide Contacts for security purposes (or simply for your visitors to search for their Contact rather than select them from a list), you can set your Check-in button to utilize "Private Contacts." When enabled, contacts will not be listed on the iPad and must be manually searched during check-in.

Start on the Buttons page of the web portal. Click on 'Existing Buttons' on the right and click to edit the button you wish to enable Private Contacts for. Scroll to the bottom and enable 'private contacts.' Don't forget to save!
