How can I verify insurance or collect updated insurance information during check-ins in The Receptionist?

The Receptionist offers several tools to capture and verify insurance information during visitor check-ins. By utilizing these features, you can streamline insurance verification and ensure updated records for all visitors.

Please note that The Receptionist is not HIPPA compliant; if you work in an industry where that is a concern, please ensure that you are not collecting protected health information (PHI) through The Receptionist for iPad.

Steps to Enable Insurance Verification

We offer two major ways to enable insurance verification. You can use one, both or the two in tandem.

  1. Set Up ID/Insurance Card Capture: - Configure the check-in workflow to include an ID Capture field, allowing visitors to upload photos of their insurance cards. - Once the cards are uploaded during the check-in, admins can review this information through the Visit Log.

  2. Prompt Visitors for Insurance Updates: - Use a Visitor Field to ask directly about any changes to visitors' insurance information.
