If you have employees setting up meetings with visitors who don't have access to the Visit Log, this solution will allow your contacts to pre-register visitors by sending an email or a calendar invite.
Getting Started
Make sure Pre-Registration is turned on for your account! Once it is, anyone listed as a Contact on your account can pre-register a visitor by sending a calendar invite. To do this, create a calendar invite just like you would normally, including your account's email address as an attendee. You can view this email on the Integration page of the web portal; select "View Documentation" and copy the email address on that page.
When our system receives the invite, a pre-registration for each attendee who is not on your list of contacts will be added to the visit log. The system will set the "Estimated Check-In Time" of the pre-registration to be the time specified in the invite. It will also try to parse the visitor's name from the invite.
No pre-registration email will be sent to these visitors, so be sure that the calendar invite has any information the visitor might need.
Additional documentation can be found in the Integrations area of your account.
