How do I filter and export data from the Visit Log?

The Visit Log on the web portal stores and displays the information that visitors enter upon check-in, but it also does much more than that! From the visit log, you can filter by the dates your visitors checked in, recent visitors, pre-registrations, and more.

Filtering The Log

Start by selecting Visitor Log on the top left of your account navigation. Select which visitors you want to see using the filters at the top; you can filter by date range, the particular button, and more.

You can also use the controls below the Actions button for quick filtering; these buttons allow you to filter quickly by All Visits, Recent Visits, Registrations, and The Evacuation log.

All Visits displays just that, including visits that are pre-registered or queued by our Contactless feature. Recent Visits displays only visits that have been checked-in (and does not include any queued visits). The Upcoming button shows visits that are in the system but are not in a checked-in state, such as queued visits or pre-registered folks. The Evacuation Log creates a list of all visitors who are currently checked in, enabling you to ensure that everyone is accounted for in an emergency.

Exporting From The Log

You may want to export the information stored in the visit log. To export the visit log or a filtered list within it, select the Actions menu > Export, and then select whether you want to export to a CSV file or a PDF file. We usually recommend exporting to a CSV file, as long values may cause formatting errors via PDF.

Once you've chosen a format, you'll be presented with a window that allows you to customize what data is exported, who will receive the export, and when you want the export delivered. You can pick and choose what fields to include and even schedule your export to be sent automatically! Daily, weekly, or monthly reports will automatically only pull data from the last day, week, or month respectively. The export will be delivered to any email addresses you specified, and past exports can also be viewed on the Exports page of the web portal.

If your export takes over ten minutes, you've likely attempted to export too many returns. Filter your visit log (try limiting it to a single month to start) and attempt the export again.
