Ensuring that your brand is presented to your visitors couldn't be easier with The Receptionist for iPad.

We allow you to edit the layout, background, logo, text, and start button on your home screen in an easy to use configuration tool that also gives you a preview of what your changes will look like on your iPad. To get started, visit the Home Screen link in the left hand navigation bar of our web application.

The layout section allows you to choose from 7 different layouts that allow you to highlight the items of the screen that are most important to you. You are also able to lock the orientation if you want to make sure that your visitors always use our software in a specific orientation.

We recommend playing around with these layouts once you've configured some of the other aspects of your home screen to see which one works best for your brand.

The background section allows you to customize what your displays behind your text or logo on the iPad. We allow you to use a solid color, choose from a list of images that we have uploaded, or even upload your own custom background image.

If you are uploading your own custom background image, you will want to make sure that the image is at least 2,048 pixels in one dimension. Square images work the best for an iPad that might be used in either the portrait or landscape orientation.

The logo section allows you to upload the logo that will be used on the home screen as well as at the top of all of the interior check-in screens. For best results, we recommend this image have a transparent background, and have a 4x3 aspect ratio (e.g., 2000 pixels wide and 1500 pixels tall).

The text section allows you to configure the message text that is displayed on your Home Screen. You can change the font that is used, the size of the text, as well as the color of the text to get it to match your brand and style. Note: the font size does not dynamically update the preview on the web at this time.

Start Button

The start button section allows you to configure the text that is displayed on the start button as well as the color of the text and button. Feel free to make this message relevant to your visitors.

We hope you find all of these configuration options helpful and easy to use. Please let us know if there are any other things you would like to see us add in the future!
