Companies with multiple offices or building locations can manage all of their Receptionist for iPad configurations from one central hub. This ensures that certain Users, such as the company CEO or a company-wide tech team, can view, manage and make changes all locations with ease.

If you're a visual learner, watch this video for a quick introduction to Location Management. If you prefer reading, feel free to skip to the text below!

Getting Started

First, go to Locations on the left of your dashboard.

You can select 'Add Location' at the top or clone an existing individual location by selecting 'clone' under Actions to the right of your current location(s). Each location requires its own subscription.

Configuring Locations

Each location can have its own name, language options, plan, etc. The locations can be branded completely differently, and the check-in flow for your visitors can be as similar or as different as you want.

To configure each location, use the dropdown at the top of each configuration page (Buttons, Home Screen, etc.) to select which location you are editing:

You can make each location unique, but you may want to save time by copying a button from another location. To clone a button, select "Clone" at the bottom of the "Add A Button" dropdown and select the button to copy:

Users can also be associated with specific locations, either at set-up or via editing the person in question on the Users page. Location Manager Users can edit and view nearly everything at their particular location, but do not have access to any other locations.

Associating iPads with Locations

Say you need to move an iPad from your Headquarters location to a new Warehouse location. You'll want to make sure to switch the location of the iPad so that check-ins at that secondary location display accurately.

Press and hold at the top center of the screen for a few seconds, then select Device Settings:

Enter your password when prompted, then select "Device Location" to switch the location to a different one. Please note that, if you don't ensure the iPad is associated with the correct location, check-ins will be tied to a different location when viewed on the visit log.
