An ID Capture field can be added to your check-in flow by editing your button(s). Scroll down to the visitor fields section and to the right, and when adding a field, select the ID Capture:

An image of the Visitor Fields section of the Button Editing page. The "Add A Field" Button has been selected, and "ID Capture Field" is available in the button type dropdown.

Two types of IDs can be captured: Driver's License and Passport. Click on the ID icon to switch between types. If you have Returning Visitors turned on, then you can click on the lock icon to make the field "required" or "always required":

Unlike other visitor fields, the ID Capture field cannot be made "optional" to your visitors; therefore, the field cannot be skipped during check-in.

Some visitors may struggle to remember to take photos of their IDs. We recommend making the language of the question as clear as possible to ensure that visitors are not confused, and to emphasize to your visitors that this field is required. Some clients also choose to add a text field prior to the ID capture field advising visitors to have their ID at the ready for the next question.

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out by clicking the orange chat bubble at the bottom of your screen!
