Contactless Check-In is a great way to expedite check-in for your visitors, prevent bottlenecking, and limit physical contact with the iPad! Contactless allows visitors to check in, sign agreements, and answer questions on a personal device like a phone or computer.

Turning on Contactless Check-In:

  1. From your Home Screen settings, select Layout & Contactless

  2. Click the QR Code icon underneath "Contactless Check-In"

  3. Save your changes

  4. A blue QR Code icon will appear in the top right corner of your Home Screen settings page. Your unique QR code and URL can be found here

  5. Once it's turned on, the QR code will also appear on the kiosk once the iPad detects a nearby face

  6. Visitors using the QR code or link to check in will follow the same check-in flow as you'd see checking in using the iPad

If you want to allow your visitors to check-in without being at your location physically, we recommend downloading the QR code image or saving the Contactless link from your Home Screen. That QR code or link can then be emailed to visitors. This template gives you an idea of the language we recommend when sending the link or QR code to visitors.

Queued Visits

Do you want to allow visitors to fill out their information and forms ahead of time, but not actually count as "checked-in" until they arrive? Or does it make more sense for your team if visitors can check in whether they're at your location or not? Both can be done and are controlled by a feature called Queued Visits!

By default, the Queued Visits feature is turned on, which allows visitors to begin, but not complete, check-in remotely. They will receive a QR code once they've answered any visitor fields and signed any agreements. That QR code can be shown to your iPad, completing the process and moving your visitors to a "checked-in" state. This is great if you want visitors to be able to fill out their info ahead of time, but you still need to be alerted once they've actually arrived.

You can turn Queued Visits on or off by editing your check-in button and scrolling to the bottom of the page. There, toggle the feature on or off. Once turned off, visitors will count as "checked-in" as soon as they fill out their information.

When Queued Visits is on, you can also manually check in a visitor who's been queued by clicking the orange "check in" button below.

The Visit Log of the web portal. There is one visible visitor on the log, who has a "check in" button in the Check In column where the visitor's check-in time would normally show.

Queued visits remain visible in the visit log for only three days. Even once they are no longer visible, queued visitors are still stored in the system; while you will not be able to manually check visitors in from the visit log after three days, visitors can complete their own check-ins by showing their contactless QR code to the device.

Please note: Contactless Check-In currently does NOT support the following features:

  • Delivery Button

  • Pre-Registration

  • Two-way Chat

  • Most additional languages

  • Check-out visitor fields

  • Contact photos

Please don't hesitate to contact us using the orange chat bubble on your screen or by calling (303) 954-8282 ext 2 if you have questions about implementing Contactless Check-In!
