Using our Assign Visits feature and a Delivery button, you can create a process wherein particular contacts are notified that a delivery has arrived. Then, one of those contacts can 'claim' the package or item. Oftentimes, there are only a few people in the office designated to accept/hand out deliveries, and packages can simply be left at the front desk. In this case, someone "claiming" a delivery signifies to others who received the notification that the delivery has been handled and that they don't need to.

Getting Started

Start on the Buttons page of the web portal and edit the relevant Deliver button. Then, disable Contact Selection by switching the "Contact Required?" toggle off. Toggle on any contacts you want to be notified about deliveries and have the opportunity to claim.

Other Options

You can also enable the Zapier integration and build a custom flow for assignments; for example, notify people with details of who claimed a delivery as it happens, or notify certain contacts whenever a visitor is claimed from the waiting room. Are you a webhook expert? Webhook notifications can also include assignment events!
